La autora realiza un breve recorrido por los distintos autores que han cuestionado la unidad de la filosofía primera aristotélica. A continuación, defiende tal unidad, arti-culándola en torno a los sentidos del ser. Aristóteles pretende conocer la realidad tal como es. Pero lo real es siempre dinámico. Como consecuencia, también el pensamiento que trate de comprenderlo progresará y se modificará. El criterio para este cambio son los distintos tipos de ente y el grado de cognoscibilidad que cada uno permite y reclama.

The author briefly reviews the various authors who have questioned the unity of Aris-totle’s first philosophy. Then, she defends that unity, organising it according to the senses of being. Aristotle wanted to know reality as it is. But reality is always dynamic. As a consequence, the thinking which tries to understand reality will also make progress and change. The criteria for this change are the various types of being and the degree of cog-noscibility [the degree to which we may know] which each one allows and requires.
